Polvorones
Polvorones Recipe
Polvorones are light, crumbly shortbread biscuits, typically eaten at Christmas time in Spain.
Ingredients:
- 500g vegetable fat
- 500g sugar
- 600g wheat flour
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 spoon vanilla
Method
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and leave for half an hour.
- Knead the dough and form into small balls with your hands. Place the balls on a baking tray and put in a very low oven for 35 minutes.
- Makes approximately 80 biscuits.
