Rosquillas
Rosquillas de Vino
A great tradition at Christmas time in Spain, these unusual, ring-shaped cakes are generally eaten with a glass of Anise or wine.
Ingredients:
- For 4 servings
- 1 cup Anise brandy
- 1 cup oil
- 250g sugar
- flour
- anises verdes
- cinamon powder
Method:
- Mix the oil, brandy and sugar, then slowly add flour until it forms a smooth dough that does not stick to the sides of the bowl.
- Grease a baking tray and sprinkle with flour.
- Form the dough into small rings and place on the baking tray.
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinamon then bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180ºC.
Decorate the rosquillas with the aninses and serve.
