The budget airline EasyJet reports that they expect over a million people to travel with them with Spain being the overall destination of choice.
According to one source nearly two and a half million people will celebrate Christmas abroad, mostly due to the availability of cheap flights and the search for a milder climate or guaranteed snow ... both easily achieved in Spain.
Last Christmas on Boxing day our family spent the morning on the beach in Salobreña (on the coast of Granada) making sandcastles, before driving for less than an hour to the Sierra Nevada Mountains for an afternoon of snowmen, snowballs and a little skiing !!
